This study programme is implemented jointly with the Faculty of Administration. It is an interdisciplinary programme that offers in-depth knowledge of computer technology, internet and information technology, as well as administrative-legal, economic and organisational skills, which are necessary for understanding public and business administration. Elective courses can be chosen by students from a list of courses offered by both universities.

  • Admission requirements and selection criteria in case of limited enrollment

The University Study Programme Public Sector Governance 1st Cycle may be enrolled by:

a) whoever has passed the secondary school examination (matura),

b) whoever has passed the vocational secondary school examination under any secondary school programme and an exam in one of the secondary school examination subjects: computer science, mathematics or physics; the chosen subject must not be the subject the candidate has already passed in the vocational secondary school examination,

c) whoever finished any four-year secondary school programme before 1st June 1995.

In the event of limited enrolment, the candidates from items a) and c) will be selected according to:

  • the overall results of the secondary school examination or the final exam - 60% of the points,
  • the overall study results in the third and fourth year of secondary school - 40% of the points.

In the event of limited enrolment, the candidates from item b) will be selected according to:

  • the overall results of the vocational secondary school examination - 20% of the points,
  • the overall results of the third and fourth year of secondary school - 40% of the points,
  • the results of the secondary school examination subject - 40% of the points.

  • Main objectives and general skills of the programme

The aim of the study programme is to offer students a greater selection of content provided by the faculties. Mobility of students, who will be able to participate in different academic environment, will ensure a higher quality of study, as both faculties endeavour to provide as high a quality of the study programme as possible. With mobility and joint work of students and teachers of partner faculties, the joint study programme introduces an interdisciplinary dimension, thus increasing the value of results of the pedagogic and research and development work, and enhancing graduate employability.

Graduate’s general competencies:

  • Capability of critical, analytical, and integrative thinking.
  • Ability to define, understand and creatively solve professional challenges and problems in the field of information science and administration in public and private sector. 
  • Capability of searching for expert sources and critical assessment of acquired information.

  • REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRESSION THROUGH THE PROGRAMME

Conditions for Advancement to a Higher Year for Undergraduate Study Programmes in the Academic Year 2016/2017

Full-time Study:

  • enrolment in the 2nd year: 52 ECTS;
  • enrolment in the 3rd year: 112 ECTS, of which 60 ECTS from compulsory courses from the 1st year.

Part-time Study:

  • enrolment in the 2nd year: 44 ECTS;
  • enrolment in the 3rd year: 104 ECTS, of which 60 ECTS from compulsory courses from the 1st year.

This decision does not predict enrolment in a higher year with several uncompleted requirements.

Reenrolment in Full-time and Part-time Study

According to Article 152 of the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana a student who has not completed all the requirements set by the study programme for enrolment into a higher year may once in the course of the studies repeat a year if he or she has satisfied the conditions for reenrolment set by the study programme.

 

Reenrolment in the 1st Year

Students who have not completed the requirements for enrolment into the 2nd year may repeat a year once if: 

  • they have completed the requirements for the 1st year equivalent to 30 ECTS,
  • they were enrolled in the 1st year in the academic year 2016/2017,
  • they have not enrolled in any other undergraduate study programme.

Reenrolment in the 2nd Year

Students who have not completed the requirements for enrolment into the 3rd year may repeat a year once if: 

  • they have completed the requirements for the 1st year equivalent to 52 ECTS,
  • they have completed the requirements for the 2nd year equivalent to 30 ECTS,
  • they were enrolled in the 2nd year in the academic year 2016/2017,
  • they have not enrolled in any other undergraduate study programme.
