Luka Šajn je zaposlen kot asistent v Laboratoriju za računalniški vid. Sodeluje pri izvajanju vaj na univerzitetnem in visokem strokovnem študiju računalništva in informatike. Na raziskovalnem področju se ukvarja s strojnim učenjem, analizo tekstur, večresolucijsko parametrizacijo, analizo medicinskih slik in segmentacijo človeškega okostja.
