Students who are enrolled or are enrolling in programmes that envisage the selection of general elective subjects can choose them from the range of subjects offered in study programmes at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (if they are not part of the compulsory syllabus or if they have not yet been selected) or other faculties of the University of Ljubljana or other universities

The Faculty of Computer and Information Science offers a diverse selection of subjects.

You can select UL FRI subjects from the range on offer upon electronic completion of the enrolment sheet when you enrol.

The possibilities for changing elective subjects are laid down in Article 4 of the UL FRI Rules of Study:
Over the course of the study programme students may change a maximum of two elective subjects in their syllabus. In this, a change of the elective module in the academic higher education programme in Computer and Information Science (referred to as: UN-RI) or Computer Science and Mathematics (UN-RM), which together comprise three subjects, is deemed to be changing two subjects.

Students can change an elective subject in their syllabus at the beginning of the academic year, by withdrawing from the subject and selecting a new one.

In exceptional cases, for instance a timetable overlap, students can change a subject in their syllabus during the academic year, but no later than 14 days after the start of the subject, based on an application approved by the vice-dean for pedagogical activities.

UL FRI STUDENTS WISHING TO CHOOSE AN EXTERNAL GENERAL ELECTIVE SUBJECT AT ANOTHER FACULTY

The form must be filled in fully and stamped by the responsible person of the other higher education institution. Upon completion of the electronic enrolment sheet, in this case students must select the subject Elective Subject of another faculty with the relevant number of credits, which will then be appropriately substituted on the basis of the form.
